The researchers of MIT’s Agelab have come up with a suit which makes a person feel like 75 years old man. AGNES stands for ‘Age Gain Now Empathy System’ after wearing the AGNES Suit it physically feels like an old person with arthritis, diabetes and full of aches. The things used in AGNES suit to feel a person like 75 years old are as follows –
- Special Shoes “AGNES suit” – Special shoes are provided which gives the feeling of old age by giving an average movement to feet.
- Pants [AGNES suit] – Pants have braces in the knees and with little stiff at the abdominal.
- Upper Half [“AGNES suit”] – Upper half consists of gloves which gives an illusion that the strengths are no more in hands and also decreases the mobility of wrists, whereas earplugs makes it difficult to hear. Elbow joints are captured with the help of braces.
- Helmet “& AGNES suit” – A helmet with many straps attached helps the suit to compress the spine, decreases hamstring flexibility and reduces the area of wearer on any directions.
The main motto of designing AGNES suits is the way to understand what the needs of old consumers are. This method has given many companies help to understand what does an old man wants.
